Please i am designing a report for an income and expenditure .I have all expenses in one table and i have my income in my sales table. These two table dosen't have any relationship between them.
Now what i want to do is to show the total amt recieved as my income and then show all various expenses as my expensese and then under each i want to show the total expenses and total income and then find the
net profit or loss
below it
Now.Under the section 3 (Details/Body section) what ever i put there repeats which is making the arrangement very difficult. Please can anyone help me do this.
i want it to show like this
Income
AmountReceived 100
Gross Income 100
Expense
Rent 50
Salaries 150
Utilities 50
Total Expense 250

most likely it is because you cant join them. i gather you are using and odbc connection to the tables.
if that is the case, you should create a sub report for the expenses.
then use shared variables to retrieve the values from the sub report to use them in formulas in the main report. this way you can link the sub report to the main by date range.
