I have a temporary table running in a crystal report, and i want to update it. when i add the update

        UPDATE @report_out
        set     
     DateTimeStamp = @newDate
     where Station = 2

the report quits running. is there something that i need know about using temporary tables in Crystal Reports?
Using Crystal Report 2008

I decided that Crystal Reports can't handle trying to update a SQL temporary table.
Using Crystal Report 2008
