Hi everyone,

I've got a problem
I want to use the formula called "@minDate" => minimum(?date)
where ?date is a paramter.

The original date field is a DateTime field
I set up @minDate to be Date field
And my parameter is on Date aswell.

But when try to validate the formula minimum(?date) a message pops up : "This field cannot be summarized" !

Is anyone has already had this problem ?

thanks

you cant use an  aggregate function in a record selection due to evaluation time. are you trying to retreive records that the minimum date in the dataset needs to be greater than the min date in the parameter.
you can try to create a begin date and end date and have the date >= ?beg date. but again you cant use minimum in the record selection.
you can conditionally supress the sections with that though

you can use an aggregate function in the group selection but not being clear on what is trying to be done I can't recommend doing that.
The error is in this case is being thrown because you are trying to aggrgate a paramter field that does not allow for a range or multiple values. But changing that to allow for multiple values will likely just confuse the issue further.
