Currently we have about 250 or so crystal reports that work in conjunction with our software. Unfortunately there is no system in place to track what each report does or log when someone makes a change to a report. We are currently thinking about setting up a wiki that would handle all of that, but I noticed the other day that each report, under file > summary info, has all that built right in.

So my question is is there a management tool or something similar that would allow us to search the descriptions and/or keywords of a folder of reports? Or is there anything that makes use of that information?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but... you can try use the query builder in the CE user launchpad.  Inside the query builder, try this SQL:

SELECT * FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS WHERE SI_UPDATE_TS > '2011-05-09' AND SI_PROGID = 'CrystalEnterprise.Report'
