Hello everyone

I am trying to use a simple Maximum function within the Select Expert.

ie  Maximum({MEMBERSHIP_HISTORY.STATUS_DATE})

then i receive the following.

A boolean is required here.

could someone give me an example what it is expecting please.

Kind regards

Rob

The selection formula is expecting a boolean result.
The selection formula is the same as crystal taking the list of results returned by the data source and asking "should this be displayed?" (although that is technically inaccurate)

If you want to do summaries, create a "regular" formula in the field explorer and right-clicking on the formula tab --> new.

Once you create it, you can drag it onto the report (footer) and you will see the maximum.

It's the same code, except in a different place.
