Good Afternoon,

You know those bills you get in the mail that have a cut off section right after your detail lines for you cut the bottom of the bill off and send it with your payment?  I need to create something like that.

Does anyone know how I can print something right under the last detail line no matter if there is one detail line or 20?

Thanks :)

Great idea except on some reports the detail lines extend onto a second page and I need to print this information on the bottom of all pages, right after the detail lines stop.

Thanks :)

so you want a setion that prints at the bottom of each page if the group has enough rows to push it onto a second page AND print after the last record in the group?
Are you doing page breaks on groups or have any other formatting?
Are there records set to can grow or are all rows of equal height?

I want a section that will print after the last detail line on each page.  Yes, I am doing grouping but no special formating in it.  All line sections (page header and detail lines) can not grow but there can be a different number of detail lines per page.
Thanks :)

do you allow for more than one group per page (assuming there are few rows for these groups)?

maybe
place one version of you tear off in the group footer so it allways follows the last record and place one version in the page footer that you conditionally suppress based on row counts in the group and also where the group ends (last page of the group)

OK - so is there a way to tell how many detail lines crystal expects to print on a page?
Thanks :)

you will have to calculate it based on the size of the page header, group header and the sum of the detail row minus the page footer.
obviously if you cahnge the size of any section later on in your design it will change you calulations.
