Hello Folks,
Am having a crystal 8.5 report which is migrated to Crystal XI. Obviously it has a subquery inside the sql which means that someone has edited the sql.

I know that we cannot edit the query in crystal XI. What am trying to acheive is to change the current condition in the sql query of crystal XI. I think i can add a selection criteria to have that updtae. But am not sure if that will hold true.
 The sql is nvl(e.client_invoice_closed, 'Y') = 'N')

which is looking for nulls and replacing with Y

AM wondering if i include a condition in the record selection saying
if is null((e.client_invoice_closed) = " " then 'N' . Will it update my results or will it still pick up the subquery  nvl(e.client_invoice_closed, 'Y') = 'N')  ??

Thanks

I think you woulod have to use a command object with a case statment to update the data and then use the command as your source

So that will be like recreating the report again rite? I have 2 subreports inside in it. So the whole sub report linking would be changed rite.

Thanks a Bunch!

you could salvage your report and replace the table usage with the command

if you can write a view or stored proc you coulduse that instaed of the command. I much prefer either of those over a command
