Hello Folks,
I am creating a report using crystal command options.Basically the query in command 1 has some data ( here Event_id is primary key)and command 2 has data (here EVent_id is primary key).
My requirement is i have to get the data from both the tables where the records match and the results from Command2 which are not in command1.
I did a left outer join from command 1 to command 2 on Event_id
and in the record selection i have the criteria isnull(command1.event_id).

For some reason the report is blank. Am i missing something. I know that we have data.

Thanks a bunch!

1. Most likely susptect: You may have your join reversed depends on which table/command is the primary one in the join. Try and flip it to a RIGHT OUTER JOIN to see if it correct the problem.
2. Make sure you are placingt he data from COMMAND2 on the report canvas as no data fom cammnd 1 should available at all.
3. for other testing remove the select statemnt and place both ID's (from each command) on your canvas and verify you are seeing what you expect.
4. You could change your command to do the select for you.
