I have a completed report I made, but I need to add some totals and cannot get it to work.

The report is laid out as follows:

Account Type (residential, Commercial, Industrial)
Account Number| Amount Paid | Address |
Total Accounts:              Total Paid:

I need to add a total field for individual account types. SO I would need a total for Residential, Commercial, Industrial etc....please help!

do you want this in a group footer or in the report footer or in a header?

you can make a bunch or running total which is less dynamic and does not account for new types appearing in the report or use a crosstab whcih deals with those problems
for the ct
insert the  ct in the report footer
add the type field in for rows
add the paid field in to the summarized field and set it to a sum
play with the formating to hide lins or totals or whatever to make it visually correct for your report
