Sometimes my formula works in my reports and sometimes it doesn't can you help me? ToText({Table.ReferralDate}, "MMM dd, yyyy")
Here's the error message:
Too many arguments have been given to this function. It looks correct, but if {Table.ReferralDate} is not always a datetime field, then you might get an error like this...I guess.  Just because it says it's a referral date doesn't mean that some bonehead programmer forgot to make it so in the database...it might just be a text field.
 
At least that is my first pass thoughts.
