Actually i have a report with datails and summary, but i made summary report in subreport. now i linked the subreport to main report. but my issue  i am having is parameters are asked twice for main report once and subreport once.i just needed them to ask once.please kindly help me with this issue

this most often occurs for subreports when you don't link all the parameters in the subreport to values in the main report...CR doesn't know the value, and so asks.
 
It happens in the main report when you have command objects that use parameters to retrieve data...you are asked once for the command object and once for the report, since they both use your parameters.
 
The solution for the report, is to either not use the parameter in the command object or to not use the parameters in the report, then they are only needed once per report. For the subreport, make sure that all parameters in the subreport can be / are being supplied to the subreport from the main report via the linking of parameters.
