Hello

I'm designing a report and pulling data from 8 fields from an AP Payables  table. One of the fields is a "contract number" field. I'm wanting to only see data  from all 8 fields if the "contract field" has string data in it.

I'm grouping by Vendor

thanks
Rick

hello

that worked and only shows if there is data, but shows all the other entries too where the field is null, but doesn't show the data.

Hey.

It is just one table. Pulling 8 fields from that table.

What exactly is it doing that you do not want it to do. Maybe a couple of sample rows of fake data?

Hey

here is what is showing.

85

88

94

109

080530109

116

131

The bold numbers are vendor numbers. The data showing is the contract number but it is showing lines where data is but it is not showing it because the filed is null for those vendors.

If you can send me an email to rrushing@djcon.com , I can reply to you a copy of the report.
thx
Rick

sorry, can't accept outside files.
So you are gouping on vendor
your detail section is contractnumbers
you have vendors that have no contract numbers and you want to exclude them.
Alter your select statment to
Not(isnull(contractnumberfield) or contractnumberfield="")
