The main report has a fake group 1 and a group 2 on department name with section a and b.

 

Section 2a has group name(department in this case) and the Section B has a sub report with details of the employees in that group with joining date.The link is on the deparment name.

 

The report runs fine for all the departments except when i select the first department in the parameter it leaves an extra space on the first page with only the main report group 1 and 2 a and then on the second page it has 2a and 2b group .Basically group header 2a is repeating.

 

Why is this extra space coming on the first page only for the first department selected.

 

Any ideas or guidance on this would be great.
