Topic: left-outer join registry edit Posted: 06 Dec 2010 at 1:38pm
We run Crystal Reports all across the State of Washington in different School Districts Data Centers. Each one has their own server. For some time we have been getting a "FAILED TO RETRIEVE DATA ERROR" when we run certain reports in one database that will run fine in another database. Someone told me that when you see a "}" bracket in the error message it is pointing out that Crystal Reports is trying to write the syntax incorrectly. He said we have to install the left-ourt join registry edit on the server where the error occurs. Does anyone know anything about the left-outer join registry edit that has to be installed on a Server to stop that error message? Looking for a link on the Internet but I am not finding anything for Crystal Reports XI or Progress Language.

Our technical people found out how to do this. It has to do with SQL not being uniform across all platforms so there has to be a registery change. It is working now and we no longer are getting the FAILED TO RETREIVE DATA ERROR...
