Hi.

I have created a chart and i put the parameter field in the header of the chart. But when i export the chart to excel , the parameter field is exported but it comes out of the chart. It does not come in the same place where i placed it.

Can you please help?

Raj,

Here are a couple of things to check:

1.  Be sure that you are exporting with the Microsoft Excel 97-2000 (XLS) option set.  That makes sure your chart comes over intact.

2.  On the next screen there are several options.  Try picking different ones and see if it changes where your parameter object ends up (especially the first two radio buttons that are basing the Column Width on the object size.

3.  When exporting it is very important that you be aware of blank spaces between items. Those blank spaces can turn up as blank columns.

4.  Sometimes you have better luck exporting from the VIEWER than from Crystal Reports.  The viewer uses a different set of formatting many times and so the results may be better (or worse)

You say you put the Input Parameter field in the header of the Chart.  That again may take some aligning to make sure it has enough room to fit.

Good luck...

Cordell
