What I am trying to do is suppressing a group header if the value(Say x) in footer is less then or equal to 0. But it doesn't seem to work because the report reads from top to down. Can anyone please tell me how can I show the previous value in group header if x is more then 0.

My report is like this:
Group Header 1
Group Header 2
Details/////Suppressed/////
Group Footer 2 value x is here
Group Footer 1

Thanks a lot.
Eric

put x in a shared or global variable.  Could cause unexpected results...what if there are 2 groups in group2 and the first footer =0 and the second doesn't, or the reverse.

the shared or global variable will allow you to access the last value.  You also could use Prior() or Previous()  it will read back 1 record.
