I am in the process of putting together a report that will print following information.

- Number of open tickets for this period
- Number of closed tickets for this period
- Tickets remaining open for this period

Assuming that I select start date as 9/1/10 and end date 9/15/10, using "The section will be printed for each week" my date "groups" will be:

8/29/10

9/5/10

9/12/10

Is there a way for me to store 8/29/10 in variable X and 9/5/10 in Y? Later on this information would help me to determine number of closed ticket assuming that the closed date falls between X and Y.
