Hello,

im designing a report, and i want the report to look like the image below.

i want the Subreport(B) beside the Details section(A)...
what i did is i put the subreport in the details section as well, but the height of the details section also increase. and the subreport also repeats.

here is the actual sample that i want it to be(edited).

A - Detail Section
B - Subreport

Thank You in Advance.

what you want is probably unachievable.  Since the subreport has no connection to the main report, it will fire off for each detail line, which could cause repeats.  In addition, the detail section is going to resize itself to accommodate the subreport.

if you don't want the subreport to report you have to: a) figure out why it's repeating and b) figure out a way to tell the subreport that, that value has already been displayed.

for b) you could pass a shared variable back and forth with a list of values that have been displayed, and update it in the subreport. As for a) you're on your own...you know your report.

It might be possible with overlaying (doesn't always work the way I thing it should) the sections and putting the subreport in the report footer.

Thanks for the reply.

@lockwelle - il try ur B option. i was beginning to doubt its unachievable.

@kevlray - not in report footers.

@popo007- its just 1 report, just want the subreport to fire without doing anything to the Details section and the Details section to fire without doing anything to the subreport...
