is it possible ??

If a letter contains 4 parameters

e.g  1)covered by temp contract ?

        2)Name
        3)from date
         4)until date

Can you easily hide the remaining 3 if the response to param1 is "no" ?

Yes within the letter there is a parameter which asks

Covered by temp contact ?

If the input is "no" i want to hide parameters 2,3,4.

If the input is yes i want to show parameters 2,3,4

in the letter it will show Name on temporary contract {?Name}

Temp cover from {?from date} to {?until date}

for sure, CR will ask all parameters first and then evaluate it.
so I think it is not possible this can be done in CR.

but if you create the report and params using .Net (or programming) I think it possible.

hope can help.

Yes, it can be done.  Do the following steps for each parameter on your report.

Highlight the parameter and right click.  Select "Format Field" from the dropdown list that appears.  The Format Editor appears-Go to the "Common" tab and check the "Suppress" box.  Next, click on the "X-2" formula icon across from the "Suppress" box (right side).  Now, you're in the formula editor.  Select parameter 1 from the list of fields shown and then type = "no".  Looks like this:  {param1} = "no".  I've used this method many times with success.  Let me know if the explanation isn't clear enough or you need more info.
