Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody is able to share a suggestion on how I can iterate through a list of customer orders and only count the orders that are based on a date range.

Currently I have a group based on CUSTOMER with a formula field containing the following ;

Count ({ORDER_NUMBER},{CUSTOMER})

Currently this counts all the orders each customer has made.

What I want to achieve is to add a date range criteria to this that will only return the number of orders that meet that criteria.

Many thanks,

Hi,

*I would suggest to create Date range parameters
*Start Date and End Date
*Then in record selection formula check {Table.DateField} in {?StartDate} to {EndDate} please check for exact synatx.
*Thats all so when you run the report you will be prompted  to select Start Date and EndDate select accordingly once done you will get count of order number per customer for selected Date Range

hope this is what you looking for

Cheers
Rahul

Thanks for the feedback,

I have been down that track but as the data is in two different tables I can't use this technique... hence the work around.

Thanks anyway.

Hi
Is is not possible to join the tables on common field and then use both the tables in the report?

Join could be Inner, Or Left or Right Outer Join depending on what needs to be displayed in the report.

Cheers
