I have a report that pulls in about 20 accounts. I need to create a custom grouping to separate these into two groups.
I am not sure how to do this. Each account has its own individual account code so I am trying to do something like this:
Group 1
Account 1
Account 2
Account 3
Group 1 totals

Group 2
Account 7
Account 9
Account 10
Group 2 totals

How do you know which 'belong' in group 1 and which 'belong' in group 2?

Each account has its own unique code.

So I was thinking something like.
If table.Accountcode in [111,122,113..] Then group 1
else
Group2

Just not sure how to implement that.

If they are static do exactly what you were thinking.

If table.Accountcode in [111,122,113..] Then "This is Group 1 Name here" else
If table.Accountcode in [23,24,25..] Then "This is Group 2 Name here" else "OOPS I MESSED UP AND THERE ARE 3 GROUPS"
Now add a group and use this formula field as teh group on field.
YOu can then insert SUMS (or other summary types) at the group footer level.
