Hi all
iam designing a report in which iam using sub report .In this sub report iam using the group fields .Now i need these group field values into main report against each group fields of the main report
Means i need a new column in main report in which values should be coming from sub report and should be a column in mainreport according to the group fields in the main report.
i know about shared variables but i didnt get the values from sub report to main report
can any one suggest the correct answer

is it more than 1 value per field per subreport?  is the subreport suppressed?  is the subreport run after the line that is to hold the value? do you access the shared variable in teh main report? do you set the shared variable in the subreport?

Actually i already used the shared variable for geting the totals of main report and passed to sub report in another report.it worked fine but here i want to pass the group section values which are grouped by employee in the sub reports to same group section in the main report grouped by employee in main report
How should i get this
Thanks in advance

if it is more than 1 value (row) I am not sure that you can.  You can populate a shared array variable, but displaying it, I am not sure about, as you can only print 1 item in the main report....you could mimic multiple rows by contenating the string...
