I tried formatting the numeric fields...however it still clips the data.  I'm using Crystal Reports integration into Visual STudio...could it be that this feature is only on the stand-alone app?

Also, is there any way after using this formula:

If {DataTable1.No of Investments}>99999 then '****' else totext({DataTable1.No of Investments},0,"")

to re-instate the commas and formatting so that my results do not look like '9999' but rather '9,999' ?  does this strip the formatting?

in the totext() add in a comma between the "".
If {DataTable1.No of Investments}>99999 then '****' else totext({DataTable1.No of Investments},0,",")
