     Posted: 21 Apr 2010 at 4:44am
Hello, I have a report that have 2 parameters, 1st parameter is date range
and 2nd parameter is numeric data range. My question is: How do i pass parameter chosen values to Report Header of the report.
It should look like this : Detail Report from date MM-DD-YYYY to MM-DD-YYYY.
and Price range from 0.00 to 0.00 according to user entries in parameter.
Thank you.Smile

'Details report from date ' +
totext(Minimum(?DateParam),'MM-dd-yyyy') +
' to ' +
totext(Maximum(?DateParam),'MM-dd-yyyy') + ' and Price range from '
+
totext(Minimum(?RangeParam),2) + ' to ' +
totext(Maximum(?RangeParam),2)

I normally do the 'minimum({?DateParam})'  and 'maximum({?DateParam})' in formulas and drop the formulas into a text box.

Replace the (?DateParam) with your actual datae parameter field and
repalce the (?RangeParam) with your actual other paramter field and try it.

I did replace (?DateParam) with my actual parameter and (?RangeParam).
It still doing same thing saying: "The ) missing." Do i need to put curly braces around parameter or parenthesis is just fine.

Both.
the {} always goes around the field name
The Parenth goes around the field when using the Maximum/Minimum and totext fucntions.
will look something more like:
'Details report from date ' +
totext(Minimum({?Date}),'MM-dd-yyyy') +
' to ' +
totext(Maximum({?Date}),'MM-dd-yyyy') + ' and Price range from '
+
totext(Minimum({?Range}),2) + ' to ' +
totext(Maximum({?Range}),2)
