Topic: Stored Procedure Question? Posted: 22 Mar 2010 at 3:45pm
If I have a stored procedure that has data fields, does the data have to be in table somewhere?
Let me explain. I have a stored procedure that is called R_Cell_History. In this it has fields In Time, Out Time, Inmate Name and Cell. What I would like is these fields but not have the parameters that go along with it.
Is there a way to find these fields from this stored procedure or can write something to just pull these fields from this procedure?

Do you mean you have s pre-existing SP that someone wrotet hat uses parameters but you want to use that same sp (or the data that it is combines) with no parameter usage?
Since the SP has the params in it you cannot use that one but you can create a new stored proc or a view that uses the same fields (and joins) and then use this as your data source.
