Import content of a BLOB field in CR2008

Hello,

I am trying to display a big textfile in CR2008 that is stored in a MySql database as a blob field. The lay-out of the textfile is not important it's the content i need.

So far i tried to convert it using the following sql statement: SELECT CAST(`content1`.`data` AS CHAR(100000) CHARACTER SET utf8) as fieldname .

But that doesn't work for the bigger files, they are only partially displayed in CR2008.

Any suggestions on how to do this?
