Hi there CR Experts!,

Im new in crystal reports, im using CR XI and i got this confusing problem. I've used text objects to display info's such as company name, date/time, report title and page number and i wanted that each objects will have the same positions throughout the reports but there is a problem. i can't set each object in each report with the same positions. ex. i have set "Print Date" with properties x=0.080 and y = 0.830 but these values changes and i don't know why. is there any way to solve this?

how did they change?  I've had where the width got smaller, but not the location...the only thought, that just occurred to me, is that you have the control aligned to the grid, and your does not allow that position. Right click anywhere in an empty section of the report and see if 'Snap to Grid' is checked.

I really need to have these header objects to have the same positions so that when a user that views these reports will not notice any slight change with these header objects. These properties (height, width,x,y) changes the custom values that i use to set. for example, i've set x's value with a value of 0.050, then as i view it again, it's either subtracted by .10 where 0.50 becomes 0.040....

so, set the size/location .1 bigger and save it.  If it is not the correct size, alter the bigger number until you get what you want.  Then don't click OK, click Cancel.  Yes, this is a quirk, it is really annoying, but there is nothing that you can do about it.
