Topic: Formula for average of last 30 Posted: 01 Oct 2009 at 7:05am
I am trying to calculate inventory turnover ratio. This involves dividing the cost of goods sold for the last 30 days by the average daily inventory of the last 30 days. I have the formula for daily inventory, but what would be the formula to calculate the daily inventory for each of the last 30 days and then get an average?

You would have to create an array of size 30 and use a manual formula to put each day into the next element of the array. At the end you would have to cycle back to the front and overwrite the next element to keep it current for the last 30 days. Then calculate the average of that entire array. Will take a bit of coding, but not bad if you're familiar with Crystal Syntax.
