Hi all,

I've written a crystal report that pulls out a list of contacts from the database.

The report is then exported from crystal into Excel - where it is then used to work out who is subscribed to our newsletters/ not and then make the changes accordingly to our bulk mail provider.

Now this all works fine, the only problem is where there are fields that dont have email addresses.

I have conditionally supressed them with the following code:

{Contacts.EMAILADDR} = ""

However it doesnt seem to work & breaks the conversion to excel process (columns strangely get merged or crystal can crash trying to save it).

the 'hide' option seems to work quite well on other rows - but there doesnt seem to be a way to use it with conditions.

Anyone have any ideas?

As a guess the value is NULL and not an empty string.

You can try and suppress the row with:
isnull({Contacts.EMAILADDR}) or {Contacts.EMAILADDR} = ""

or just exclude the data in your select expert as:
NOT(isnull({Contacts.EMAILADDR}) or {Contacts.EMAILADDR} = "")
