     Posted: 03 Aug 2009 at 12:12am
I have 3 detail sections A,B,C
Each section contains records [item_order],[item_name],[item_value]
Details A contains records where [item_order] are between 1 and 10
Details B contains records where [item_order] are between 11 and 20
Details C contains records where [item_order] are between 21 and 30

Records are adjusted to the left. The problem is: how to put graphic in each detail section but adjusted to the right. Is there any trick like text float or sth?

Should looks like two columns.
Details A
1,Item_name_1,Item_value_1 [gra______]
2,Item_name_2,Item_value_2 [___phi___]
3,Item_name_3,Item_value_3 [_____c_A]
4,Item_name_4,Item_value_4
5,Item_name_5,Item_value_5
Details B
11,Item_name_11,Item_value_11 [gra______]
12,Item_name_12,Item_value_12 [___phi___]
13,Item_name_13,Item_value_13 [_____c_B]
14,Item_name_14,Item_value_14
15,Item_name_15,Item_value_15
Details C
21,Item_name_21,Item_value_21 [gra______]
22,Item_name_22,Item_value_22 [___phi___]
23,Item_name_23,Item_value_23 [_____c_C]
24,Item_name_24,Item_value_24
25,Item_name_25,Item_value_25

Now my report it looks like:
Details A
1,Item_name_1,Item_value_1
[graphic_A]
2,Item_name_2,Item_value_2
3,Item_name_3,Item_value_3
Details B
11,Item_name_11,Item_value_11
[graphic_B]
12,Item_name_12,Item_value_12
13,Item_name_13,Item_value_13
Details C
21,Item_name_21,Item_value_21
[graphic_C]
22,Item_name_22,Item_value_22
23,Item_name_23,Item_value_23

Instead of using just details sections, can you set up formula for a group that will do your A, B, C grouping?  Then put the graphic in the correct spot to the right in the group header and turn on "Underlay Following".  If the graphic comes from the database or is set dynamically, this should be all you have to do.  If the graphic is static and not being set dynmically, create one group header section for each graphic, turn on "Underlay Following" and set up a suppression formula to suppress them when they're not needed.
