	Hi Urjent pls I use CR IX. give the input through parameter like 2009 - 02(year and month only) i want to firstdate and last date of that month firstdate= 01-02-2009 lastdate= 28-02-2009 please urjent

	split the string into year and month... start is always 1. create a datetime variable for the start date (2/1/09), use dateadd to add a month(3/1/09). use dateadd to subtract a day (last day of the month)(2/28/09). HTH
