Hi.

i have a report that has a table which looks something like the one below:

Date              Amount
6/1                 $10.00
6/2
6/3                 $7.95
6/4                 $8.50
6/5
6/5
6/7                 $5.00

How do i get crystal reports to display $0.00 in the blank rows rather than just showing a blank space in the amount column?

thanks

I think zero is displayed by default you may be supressing it.  Right mouse click on your field and choose format field. On the number tab, choose the customize option you should then see a check box for suppress if zero

Hmmm, If that isnt working I am not sure what else to try. The table your are pulling the data from can you confirm it stores the zeros?

most likely this is null rather than zero, if so...

create a formula field as "Amount_w_0" (or whatever you want) to insert the zeros and display it instead of the amount field:
if isnull({table.amount}) then 0.00 else {table.amount}

it turns out the column contains null values... is there any way I can get around that without having to change my db

are you displaying the formula field or the original DB field (amount) ?
You have to display the fomrula field, in my example it would be @Amount_w_0 and not the original table field.

I created the formula field... and then the formula filled is being summed in a running total field. So, indirectly, I am displaying the formula field.
