An old server is being replaced at our company. In it runs a classic ASP app which accesses a .rpt file to generate a PDF. The code uses Server.createObject("CrystalRuntime.Application") to get the handle on CR obejct. The server being replaced has CR8 installed. The issue is that the company can't find the media for CR8 and the code does not function with CR 2008. I had installed the trial version of CR2008 and the viewer in my attempt to try and resolve the report generation. Can someone please suggest a way out? Rewriting the app is not an option.
