Hi,

I have a report whichi is taking around 10 seconds.

So while running a report, the report is not showing any "please wait message" or "Running report messange". Its showing a white page and then report is coming.

This is giving the report user a different sense to the user that, the report might hang.

Does the crystal report shows the report execution screen in this way ? or is there any way we can do settings in order to show some please wait message or some execution symbol.

Did any one face similar issue? Please provide the details if you have any.

Thank you
Regards,

Gowtham Sen.

Crystal doesn't show a message.  If you are calling it from an app, you could put a message box in, but it may not be accurate...but Crystal doesn't display a message.

sorry, I don't program for the web.  If you are just calling the report and it is doing all the data fetching, my idea wouldn't work.  Our console apps fetch the data and pass it to crystal.  in this case, while we are fetching we could display a message and remove it after the fetch is complete, since once it is passed to the Crystal viewer, crystal will take its time to read the data and format the report.

Sorry, I think that I might have misled you, since if Crystal is fetching and formatting the report, you have no idea what it is doing...or at least I don't.

Thank you very much lockwelle.

I was thinking about setting up some  userdefined progress  bar till now. The inputs provided by you, will help me think about some thing else.

Thank you
