CR 9 (& a newbie)

Two questions

1.
My Columns are Months.
Some Groups don’t have data for every month.
As a result Group1 shows Jan & Mar and Group 2 Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr

Is it possible to force months without data to display, so every cross tab is the same length?
I have NOT selected Suppress empty rows or columns, but it appears to be doing so.

2.
Is it possible to add extra rows at the bottom of the cross tab and plug in specific data via formulas?
........JAN......FEB.......MAR
A...........2.............6..............3
B...........5.............0..............1
C...........0.............3..............4
Cost....$10........$53........$29
Ratio...2%...........4%.......1%

ABC are data in the current Cross Tab
Cost & Ratio are extra line for formulas totalling Cost for Jan, Feb etc. (NOT data in cross tab totals!)

If I could make the missing columns (months) show (question #1), I could just put extra rows of data in the GH1b.
This would be less important.

You have to have a source data that is includes of all of the months (or days of the month) and then left join that to the other data to get it to present data in the crosstab this way. Or you can change your crosstab from the group header to the report header and include the groupings within the crosstab itself. Since one of the groups had data in each month all of the months will appear for the entire crosstab and display either a 0 or null in the groups that had no data for those months.

In some case you can incude formula data as summaries but without seeing your set up and the formulas it is hard to tell for sure if these can be done as you desire. basically if you can create the  field by a formual field that you are summarizing on or by using a RT then usually you can get those to display in a crosstab. You cannot just create a blank cell and drop a summary formula field into that cell.

Hi there, I am new to Crystal.  I also have the same problem that i cannot able to display the columns (i.e. months) containing zeros when I am creating crosstab.  I tried to link the existing table to a "month table", and  display the month variable from the "month table" in the crosstab.  It does not work! I'm not sure what you mean by "left join" the variable to the other data source (from your previous reply). Please describe in more detail, thanks.
