I am trying to extract similar data that is located in 2 different tables and have it list as if it is out of one table.

InvoicesHdr
 Checkamount

PaymentsHdr
 Checkamount

I can run 2 separate reports and get a list of checks from each table but if I try to put both in one report i don't get any data.

Sounds like you need to create a union between the tables and then use that.

Does the two table have some common field for you to link the table together?
