hey everyone,

this problem is so frustrating yet the solution should be so simple:

my crystal report's design view size is too small, and i can't figure out a way to increase it (i thought maybe i should be able to grab onto the right edge and drag it to increase it and then place additional objects, but there's anything to grab).

anyone know how to? thanks.

The design view should reflect two things. First the page reflects the size of the page to be printed. You can increase the page size, or go to landscape vs portrait. You can change this in the file menu selections for page setup.

If it is just too small to see you can increase the view size. There a couple of ways to do it but in CR2008 there is slider in the bottom left that does the trick.

thanks for your response John.

actually i resolved it! the report was a subreport, and after much frustration and mentally screaming colorful language, it dawned on me that maybe the subreport design view size is limited to the size of the subreport object on the main report (hopefully i haven't lost anyone here).

once i increased the width of the subreport object on the main report, bingo the subreport in design view changed as well.
