hi, i am developing a crystal report, in which i have to display group footer also and page footer also. but my problem is that if a group is getting repeated on next page than on first page i have to display page footer showing totals of that page only but on next page when th group gets completed i need to display group footer and not page footer, but in my case group footer as well as page footer gets displayed which is not required. how do i supress page footer when group footer is getting dispalyed?. please somebody help its urjentCry

if there is only 1 group on any given page, you can create shared variables that when the group footer is displayed to set a flag that will suppress the page footer.
 
The more difficult issue is the group footer...Crystal doesn't tell you when it is going to break for a page.  I believe that you can force a page break, but it requires counting printing lines and setting flags.  I don't remember off hand how to do this, but I know that it is possible. 
 
I would incorporate you group footer and page footer into one.  Since it sounds like each page is to have the totals of what is on that page, I would reset the counter in the page header section, and then you can suppress the page footer dynamically.

Sound like a similar issue to mine.

Problems WILL arise if the sections between the GH and GF span pages.
