Hello All,

I need help in creating the charts in Crystal Report Xi.

I have following fields to be used in creating the charts:

{probsummarym1.number}
{probsummarym1.cause.code}
{probsummarym1.assignment}
{probsummarym1.orig.open.group}

Q1. I want to create a bar chart using top 10 {probsummarym1.assignment} groups?

y axis = no. of incidents ({probsummarym1.number})
x axis = assignment group ({probsummarym1.assignment})

Q2. Out of top 10 {probsummarym1.assignment} groups, Create a 3 separate bar charts from above chart:

- 1st TOP {probsummarym1.assignment} group showing top 10 {probsummarym1.cause.code} in 1st chart

- 2nd TOP {probsummarym1.assignment} group showing top 10 {probsummarym1.cause.code} in 2nd chart

- 3rd TOP {probsummarym1.assignment} group showing top 10 {probsummarym1.cause.code} in 3rd chart.

y axis = no. of incidents ({probsummarym1.number})
x axis = Cause Code ({probsummarym1.cause.code} )

Q3. Create a stacked clustered chart using the following fields :

{probsummarym1.assignment}
{probsummarym1.orig.open.group}

I have following data in {probsummarym1.orig.open.group} field that is
" Patrol " and "Customer ".

So create a stacked clustered chart showing TOP 10 assignment groups ({probsummarym1.assignment} and in the chart each group showing total patrol tickets and total customer tickets stacked and clustered together.

So take a example:

each bar will display total Patrol tickets and total other Customer tickets stacked and clustered together.

example: out of 100 incidents 60 are Patrol and rest left that is 40 are different customers but we count them as one customer.

y axis = no. of incidents ({probsummarym1.number})
x axis = assignment group ({probsummarym1.assignment})

Here is the sample data:

Incident ID Primary Assignment Cause Code orig.open.group
IM1672598 EAI Services Application Team CP-User Request AML - Chantilly
IM1674631 AML - Chantilly Client Support Printing Issue Patrol
IM1688929 Physician Implementations - East Invalid Data Physician Imp East
IM1670898 INF System DSM User Request Patrol

You may need to do this using sub reports for Q2.
Create a group1 on {probsummarym1.assignment}
Do a summary as a Distinct Count on the Incident ID at group footer1.
create a second group on probsummarym1.cause.code.
Do a summary as a Distinct Count on the Incident ID at group footer2
Create a formual field called "Type"
as: if ({probsummarym1.orig.open.group})="Patrol" then "Patrol" else "Customer"
Create different Report headers for each chart you want.
Q1. Insert a chart.
In the chart expert select Bar Chart
Data as Group on with your group 1 show as distinct count of ID#.
Format as you want.
Click on the Group Sort Expert and select Top N and set N to 10.

Q2. basically the same but you need to include counts of the fields you want for an advanced bar chart using the G1 and G2 data.
Since you only want the top 3 you may have to do this as a subreport because I think it will show the top 10 based on group sort expert for chart1.

Q3. USe the formula field for your stacked bar chart. Wouldn't need a sub report since you want the same top ten as in Chart1
