Hi, im new so be nice.

I have a running total at a group level that is being running totaled by a 3 formula trick (var_init, var_calc, and var_disp)

Var_disp is in the report footer.

I am trying to display this amount in the report header (or at top of first page)

I realise i could make a subreport to do the same as the main report and only display this running total, but it seems like too much effort and wasted energy.

the _init _calc and _disp are all at WhilePrintingRecords; and i have tried to use Evaluate after car_disp but just cant wrap my mind around it.

SO my question... how do i display this variable in the top of my report?

thanks heaps.

Running totals only can be displayed in footer. Summary functions can be displayed in headers. If you can use a formula to get one field that can be summaries without condition you can do this. You may be stuck with a sub report.
