greetings!

can anybody help me on how to view the netpay when the deductions have no value?

This is the situation. My formula works when the deductions such as medicare and others have value. Its gives a correct answer. But wen the said deductions have no value, even, 0.00, the there's no computed velue for netpay....

It looks like this...
RATE   EO         AMOUNT       GSIS INTEG   MED.   W / TAX   HDMF   OTHERS  NET
 0.00  0.00     0.00                                                             188.89

these deduction have no value... so my problem is how can i compute for net amount?

can anybody help me pLz?

tnx in advance.....

First off, you have NULL value when you are dealing with numbers and a wish to sum them.

Why then, isn't each deduction on the detail line a formula itself?

If isnull({MED}) then 0 else {MED}  // will equal a number

then your formula to subtract deductions will just be a simple math formula.

{AMNT}-{@MED}-{@TAXWH}  //@MED is the formula not the data field

that's the simple way(but uses more formulas)...I am sure there is a more complex formula method to include the null check using variables and an IIF statement all wrapped into one neat formula block of code.

hope that helps
