Working on a emp schedule report.
And since there doesn't seam to be any tables with dynamic X/Y positioning. I'm left with 160~ subreports to create.

Is there any way around the pain of creating subreports over and over again. like copy paste...

CRv10.

Thank you.
ps: cross tab won't work for what I need... it will not fill the dates where no shifts are scheduled.

2 possibilities here.
1 do you really need to insert 160 sub reports or can you place this subreport on a group in the main report and pass the appropriate data field (like employee) to it so the same report runs 160 times with distinct data? Seems a lot easier...

If you are stuck with copy/paste a decent solution is to make a copy of your sub report (save as) and then use it for each time you have to insert it (use exisitng report when creating sub report). Not as quick as copy/paste but a lot better than building it 160 times.

Hi

Subreports are basically like Joins if they are linked subreports in  your case I think they are ,what you can do is create a view with the Main Report and Subreport information using SQL and then use that view in your main report.

It will be helpful if you could post main report data and subreport data

p.s.not clear tables with dynamic X/Y positioning
Cheers
