 Dear all,

I want to know how to share parameter between different sub reports in Crystal Report 2008.

The scenario is as, i have a main report in which there are 4 sub reports, all derives different data on basis of diff quiries but all of them having same input as FROM DATE and TO DATE.

This report works fine but asks the parameter 4 times.

Can i share these 2 parameters among those 4 reports?

Regards,
Ashish

Hi

yes you can you need to link the 4 subreports

right click individual subreport reports  then select change subreport links in

Field(s) to link to move you start date and end date from Available Fields ,it will create a subreport parameter ?PM---start date  and so on  in Subreport Parameter field to use then go to your individual subreports and check the ?PM parameter with the date field/s in your subreport.

You can also create formulas in your main report for start date and end date and then link them in your subreport ....

Cheers
Rahul

Hi

In available fields do you see parameters that you have created for your start date and end date.If yes move those or create two formulas and place the start and enddate parameters in that formulas and move those formulas....

cheers
Rahul
