Hi Guys ,
 
i am encountering the following error when i deployed the report on PROD server :
 
 
CrystalReportFormatter Error in exporting file J:\GEF\GSL\ReportFramework\Outbox\ROA_Summary.xls and error is CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LogOnException: Logon failed.
Details: Could not open the field definition file 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\roa.ttx'.
Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\{40EE75E2-EC55-4A25-B633-139885D769D8}.rpt:
Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8004100F): Logon failed.
Details: Could not open the field definition file 'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\roa.ttx'.

The report was working fine on Dev server . Had anybody encountered this error before ?
 
I am not getting why the report is searching the ttx file and rpt file at the below location :
'C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\roa.ttx'.

Crystal does a lot of swapping to disk while it's processing a report.  So, a copy of the report template with the data included (as if you have "Save with Data" turned on) is placed in the Temp folder with a random file name.  This way more than one copy of the report can be run at the same time.
 
Are you running from a web application or a WinForms app?  If it's a web app, this is a security issue.

Thanx for the info. i was thinking if its creating the ttx file in temp folder at run time .
I am using a class library and generating the report through command files.All the other report are working fine except this one.
We had a migration of prod server last week and since then this report is having problems.Cry

hi,

 

are  you using ODBC connection?

if yes then ,

please check the DSN used in report desingn matches with the DSN in your system.

Yes I am using ODBC connection , but its working fine for other reports.
i think its something to do with the Subreport.the Subreport is not getting acces to the ttx file.
