Im going through the report creation wizard and when i start to link the mysql tables together i am not seeing all the fields that are in these tables. Is there something im doing wrong?

the field type is text. Should i convert it to varchar?

Yes, you need to convert it to varchar.  "Text" fields are "memo" fields, which means they're designed to contain large amounts of text.  Crystal won't let you link with them
