First of all, excuse my english, and my crystal report level. I´m a beginner.

I need a report that inserts blank pages after a number of shown records.

For instance:

5 records
1 blank page
5 records
1 blank page
...

How can i do this ???.

Many thanks:

You could do this by creating a formula that adds 1 to a count for each record.  The code would be something like this:

Numbervar Count;
Whileprintingrecords;
count := count +1;
IF count = 11 THEN
    count := 1;

Put this in your details section, and suppress it.

Then, in your Section Expert, add a formula to "New Page After", with code something like

numbervar Count;
Count = 10

This will add a page break after every 10 records (not a new page).  I'm not sure how to add a blank page.... maybe adding a 2nd detail section with the same formula for New Page After?

I haven't tried this so I'm not sure exactly how it'll work but this should hopefully get you going.

DJester,

I didn't ask the initial questions but I tried your suggested code and it worked like a charm!!

Thanks for your contribution to this site!

One note:  you do not need to add the formula to the Detail Section b.  Instead, add the formula:

numbervar Count;
Count = 10

as a formula in "New Blank Page" for the Detail Section b.

If you want to the report to look single spaced -- then just adjust the "white space" in Detail Section b

Thanks for your answer.

Where can i found 'New Blank Page' ??. In the 'common' section of Section Expert, i haven´t this option, or at least, i can´t see it.

option i have in a detail section: hide, suppress, print at bottom op page, new page before, new page after, reset page number after, keep together, suppress blank section, underlay following sections, relative possitions.

May be CR version ??. i´m using free CR for Visual Studio 2008.

Many thanks.

"New Blank Page After" is in the Section Expert.  Click on the details section where you want to insert a blank page and then choose the option "New Blank Page After".  I have not used the free CR version that you mentioned so really can't tell you if you will have that option.  I would imagine you do tho!!  Good luck.
