hi all, here is a new challenge for everyone.

situation:
i have an incident report group by group and staff.

ex.

group: admin
           Staff: alex
                    #0001   10/01/08  reset pwd
           Total for Alex:  1
           Staff: John
                    #0002   10/01/08  new mouse required
           Total for John:  1
Total for Admin group: 2

Problem:
i want to be able to see value 0 for alex even if i change the select values to exclude alex records.

ex.

group: admin
           Staff: alex
           Total for Alex:  0
           Staff: John
                    #0002   10/01/08  new mouse required
           Total for John:  1
Total for Admin group: 1

is it possible?
thx, max

You can do this if you do a left outer join on the two tables with the name table being on the left side. Also set the property to make Nulls their default value (it converts them to zero).
