Is there a way to have a parameter choices or availability dependent on the previous parameter's value?

My first parameter is Report Type and can be toggled to detail or summary. If the user chooses detail, I would like the next parameter (status) to be set to "CLOSED" automatically or only allow the user the "CLOSED option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked into dynamic cascading prompts (DCPs)? It's not exactly what you need, but you might be able to use a SQL command to customize the prompts that the user is presented with so that selecting a certain parameter will limit what the next options are. I cover DCPs extensively in my Encyclopedia book. You can find out more about my books at Amazon.com or reading the Crystal Reports eBooks online.
