Hello All,

I found the answer in another post. I used the formula;
sum({table.field_to_summarize, {table.field_you_are_grouping_on}) and it worked.

Thanks.

Hello All,

I have a Running Total Field that shows the count in the Group footer. How do I get that count to show in the Group Header? I want to hide the Details in the report and just show the Group Header. I have tried WhilePrintingRecords, but it shows that count in the next Group.

Example;

GroupHeader-xyz-customer (Count=3)
Detail-Job123
Detail-Job124
Detail-job125
GroupFooter-(Count=3)

Hope this makes sense.
Anyone have any luck finding a QR code font to use in Crystal?

I have the one from ID Automation and the report takes over 7 minutes to print.

Curious if anyone has had any luck with that?

I'm using CR 2016 for SAGE. The report I'm using can take up to 7 minutes to print. I chatted with another CR expert recently who said the more tables I add, the slower it'll print and that I needed to move all the fields to a work table, which I did.

I placed all the fields that are used in the report in the report header b so I can see if the data is coming to the report ok and it is. The issue is that none of the formulas involving any of those fields work. It's like there is not data there, but I can see it in the header.

Here's an example:

The header displays
{PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_LINE_SHIP_TO_CODE} as "PLY"

In this case:
{PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_LOC1} = PLY
{PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_PALLET1} = ISPM28X36

Here's the formula (it's in the group header 2a section):
if {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_LOC1} = {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_LINE_SHIP_TO_CODE} then {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_PALLET1}
else if {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_LOC2} = {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_LINE_SHIP_TO_CODE}  then {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_PALLET2}
else if {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_LOC3} = {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_LINE_SHIP_TO_CODE}  then {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_PALLET3}
else if {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_LOC4} = {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_LINE_SHIP_TO_CODE}  then {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_PALLET4}
else if {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_LOC5} = {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_LINE_SHIP_TO_CODE}  then {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_PALLET5}
else if {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_LOC6} = {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_LINE_SHIP_TO_CODE}  then {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_PALLET6}
else ""

I won't bore you with the other 6 values since the formula should generate a value of ISPM28X36 since it matches in the first if statement.

I put the fields {PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_LOC1},
{PM_WorkTicketWrk.UDF_SHIP_PALLET1} in the same report section as the formula is in and it doesn't display that either.

The report is very technical and I don't want to re-create it. We print multiple times a day and at 7 minutes per instance it gets aggravating.

I'd appreciate any help! Thank you!

Hi,

I have a report as below.
--------------------------------
Group1 dateadm
Group2 episodeno 1                      total visit=2 (AM, PM)
serviceitem 1    morning (AM)
serviceitem 2    morning (AM)
serviceitem 1    afternoon (PM)
serviceitem 2    afternoon (PM)

Group2  episodeno 2                      total visit=1 (AM)
serviceitem 1    morning (AM)

Group2  episodeno 3                      total visit=1 (PM)
serviceitem 1    morning (PM)
serviceitem 2    morning (PM)
-----------------------------------------

I like to summarize for the total visit in group dateadm.
so, it will be like this:

Group1 dateadm       total visit=4
Group2  episodeno 1                      total visit=2 (AM, PM)
serviceitem 1    morning (AM)
serviceitem 2    morning (AM)
serviceitem 1    afternoon (PM)
serviceitem 2    afternoon (PM)

Group2  episodeno 2                      total visit=1 (AM)
serviceitem 1    morning (AM)

Group2  episodeno 3                      total visit=1 (PM)
serviceitem 1    afternoon (PM)
serviceitem 2    afternoon (PM)

=======================================

How to achieve it?

thanks in advance.

Because all of the data is joined to the fleet ID and there is no apparent relationship between PO, Service Order, and Sublet other than the Fleet ID, you'll need to use subreports for this. Here's how I would set up the data:

1. Main report - Group by fleet ID and show the PO data in the group header.

2. Add a fleet ID group header section below the one where the PO data is located. In that section add a subreport that shows the Service Orders and use the fleet ID as a subreport link to get the service orders for the specified fleet ID.

3. Add a third group header section and put a subreport that shows the Sublet Reference data, using the fleet ID as a subreport link to show just the sublets for the current fleet ID.

Add the Employee table to your report and create a left outer join from that table to the inspection table. Use the employee name from employee table and the count of inspections from the inspection table to get what you're looking for.
