Rank function

Does the Rank function work only in some versions of Crystal Reports? Or is there an alternative?
I'm using version 2016.

I can find it and the explanation in the help section but it's not recognized in the formula editor.

I only know Rank as a MS-SQL function. I see that Rank is a function for CR 2016, but it appears that it is only for OLAP databases.
